Consulation Fish
1999 ( 30" x 39" ) (77cms x 98cms) The fish fabrics, I received as gifts from the ladies in South Africa when I was not able to make the trip due to family illness, inspired this quilt. Still working in the Wheel of Mystery series I made this quilt to take with me when I finally got to South Africa in March 1999. It is embellished with three-dimensional fabric shells and seaweed. Some of the quilting was done from the reverse using space dyed pearl 12. The rest was Sulky rayon thread manipulating one of the set patterns on the machine.
