The New Zealand Bush and Birds
From the Hoffman fabric that was designed for New Zealand, I fussy cut the birds that inhabit the New Zealand bush and used these patches as the centre of a star block. I cut identical strips of the fabric to feature more birds and assembled the quilt with a sashing of black and white New Zealand Maori motif and bordered each side with red. The quilting is of ferns.
